Trans Pacific Rally

YEY are now proud to announce the launch of our inaugural Trans Pacific Rally (TPR). This rally will commence from La Paz in Mexico on 14 th March 2009, the first of what is intended to be a bi annual event.

As you may already know, YEY is a full service international brokerage. However, we also simply love sailing, which is the prime motivation behind our cruise.

Imagine being part of a flotilla of yachts, sailing the trade winds across the indigo blue waters of the Pacific Ocean . This magical ocean crossing is a voyage for the adventurous.

To join in the cruise: Purchase your yacht from our list of attractively priced, second-hand, carefully selected blue water cruising vessels. Pay your entrance fee of $2,500. Then fly to La Paz Mexico in time for our Scrutinizing weekend; 24 th February. Over the following four weeks you will prepare and provision your vessel in La Paz . Familiarize yourself with your yacht, with a shake down in the beautiful Sea of Cortez. On the 14 th March, depart on the cruise of a lifetime across the Pacific Ocean with the security and camaraderie of cruising companions.

YEY have mapped out your journey, taking in as many sight seeing destinations as practicable. And to take the hassle out of customs clearances in and out of countries, YEY will streamline the process on your behalf.

The TPR will complete in Able Point Marina , Qld. on 11 th November 2009.

A generous amount of time has been allowed in each leg for additional cruising/sight seeing at each location, or for flights home and crew changes. We have selected vessels that we believe represent excellent value and offer considerable saving on local brokerage. The current economic climate is excellent for purchasing in the U. S. with Australian dollars. YEY's other criteria for selection is seaworthiness, and adequate level of fit for a blue water passage. All yachts have been selected by the YEY team as suitable vessels for this voyage. We are not suggesting that these vessels are complete for ocean passage making and you may require additional items to suit your personal cruising style. However they all have an excellent base to work with and additional costs will be minimal to moderate depending on the purchaser. All these vessels are currently for sale in the US and Mexico and listed in $US.

If you are keen to join us on the cruise, decide on a vessel that suits you, size and price wise.

YEY will have the vessel surveyed on your behalf and if all is OK purchase the vessel in your name.

A signed contract and 10% deposit is required to secure a vessel.

YEY will arrange for all vessels to be berthed in or near La Paz in Mexico at a competitive rate and will arrange all relocations to La Paz at no additional cost to you.
